Values in Community Psychology

In the second chapter of Community Psychology book edited by G. Nelson and I. Prilleltensky authors say that community psychologists have been concerned with creating social change. But social change toward what ends? The authors argue that the vision for the work of community psychology should be guided by a set of values. For many it has been a controversial issue  because we use to think that science should be objective and not guided by values.  Referring to the video material for this week please give examples how certain values are implemented by community psychologists and then articulate your own opinion on this matter.

Please add a new article with your first and last name and the word Values (for example John Smith: Values). The deadline for posting your entry here is Monday, February 3. During the week  February 3 - 9 you will have an option to write comments to articles posted by other students.
