Human Rights and Social Justice
We are all created Free and Equal. Oftentimes the MDG issues are intertwined with problems related to Human Rights and Social Justice. The premise of the discussions here are that work towards the MDGs go hand in hand with the realization of all clauses in the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.

This Friday 6pm-9pm an ASU "Survivors of Slavery" Club is hosting a boutique where items made by survivors of human trafficking will be sold. Check it out.
As the Millenium Development Goals call for universal rights in terms of food security, education, health, gender equality, and sustainable environments, it goes to say that injustice is detrimental to the cause of the MDGs. Human Rights violations are a major source of injustice in today's world. There is an ASU Club that advocates for the rights of those who suffer from "modern-day slavery". This ASU group exchanged fliers with us while we were manning our own ASU Club Table this Wednesday.
Giving Hope to the Children of Japan
Here is a creative way everyone can help support the children of Japan effected by the earthquake and tsunami. Within the Japanese culture, cranes are symbolic for health and well wishes and it is believed that those who make 1,000 origami cranes will have a wish come true. Well OshKosh will donate a piece of clothing to the children of Japan for every paper crane made and sent to them until April 25. So make your cranes and help send good wishes and clothing to the children of Japan in need…
