Being socially marginalized essentially means that one is outside of the valued spectrum, in this case not having economic stability to the point where one is faced with living in poverty. Those who are marginalized are thought to have little to no command of their own lives due to being in poverty. This transcends into having little control in what goes on in their communities and the impact they could have potentially made for their communities. Because those in poverty do not have a steady income, psychologically, they may feel ignored and isolated from others because they simply are not apart of a certain status.
In order to significantly effect poverty, community leaders should create organizations similar to Andre House that promote the idea of a community and shows people the good of organizing and helping each other. Team building exercises and doing things to improve the look of the potential community. I believe the organizations set forth should also include classes on how to improve financial stability may also be beneficial for those in the community because they would reinforce their knowledge of finance and learn various methods on how to maintain their finances effectively.
