Interfaith and Faith-Based Community Projects
Without eradicating the problem of extreme poverty around the globe, the accomplishments of all of the other development goals are jeopardized; the issue of poverty is an underlying theme to all of the other development goals. In this channel, we invite discussion on how to develop closer interfaith collaboration on eradicating poverty in the world. Dialogue on Faith-Based organizations and inspiring accomplishments especially with regards to the MDGs may also take place here.
As you know from the relevant website (http://ucpsarnet.iglooprojects.org/projects/campus) a year ago we started the President's Interfaith Project at ASU. At the beginning there was a lot of enthusiasm, representations of various faiths met to discuss how could we work together, but after few months everything dissolved in the air. Please try to explain what could be the reason for this, as well as suggest what should be done to organize an effective collaboration between faith communities.
