Scott Williams Bugental is Research Advancement Manager with the Julie Ann Wrigley Global Institute of Sustainability at Arizona State University. The team he leads specializes in developing and submitting transdisciplinary, multi-institutional grant proposals. He is actively involved with the Food Systems Transformation Initiative at the Institute, and has assisted in developing projects on the Food-Energy-Water nexus. He has been a board member of UCP-SARnet since 2012, and currently serves on the Management Team and as Treasurer. Scott has been with ASU since 2011.
Prior to joining the ASU, Scott was a Research Analyst at the University of California, Santa Cruz, where he worked in the Social Sciences Division on the post-award management of research grants. He has a background in non-profit administration, having managed programs that provided services to the elderly and disabled residents of Santa Cruz, California.
Scott has also been a community organizer, working on a variety of environmental and social justice issues while living in Santa Cruz. He served on several of boards and commissions, including the Lompico Water District Board of Directors, the Santa Cruz City Water Commission, and the Santa Cruz County Elderly and Disabled Transportation Advisory Commission.
