I am an Arizona State University alumnus (2007), holding a BS/Psychology and BS/Biology. After my undergraduate work I took care of my grandpa in his last years, an experience that I’ll always cherish. I decided to return to school in wake of Hurricane Katrina, moving to New Orleans where I earned my Master’s in Public Health from Tulane University.

In recent years, my education and life experiences led me to the Ethiopia as a US Peace Corps volunteer where I immediately fell in love with the culture and gained a real appreciation for the opportunities afforded to us as Americans. As a volunteer I facilitated a life skills camp for orphans and vulnerable children, researched HIV/AIDS stigma and reproductive health at the local university, and conducted maternal health focus groups with the nomadic Mursi Tribe of southern Ethiopia. I am a fervent believer in responsible development at the grassroots level; observing the potential and impact it has on good people around the globe.
