Babatunde Iyanda is a native of Nigeria but has lived most of his life abroad due to his family's diplomatic background. Currently he has been living in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia since 2004. Babatunde received his Bachelor degree in Business Administration at New Generation University College and a Masters of Science degree in Food Security at the Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia.
During his Master's program, Babatunde undertook a 3-month mandatory graduate-fellowship with the UN FAO in the Southern Region of Ethiopia where he worked on his Master's thesis entitled: 'Conservation Agriculture and its contribution to food security in Southern Ethiopia'. Upon graduation Babatunde has been working at the African Union Commission within the Department of Rural Economy and Agriculture since 2012, first as an intern and currently as a youth volunteer. During this time he has had the opportunity to participate in various high-level meetings and conferences on Agriculture and Food Security on the African continent.
Babatunde has since 2012 been actively engaged in various research works related to agribusiness, youth in agriculture and natural resources management. He has also written articles on the various topics.
