Full Curriculum and African Studies: Accra, Ghana USAC

The Ghana program offers an opportunity for students to live and study in the heart of West Africa. Participants are totally integrated at the University of Ghana with native Ghanaians while experiencing the culture, learning about the country and making friends. You may enroll in a traditional African studies program or choose from a wide array of courses taught in English at the University of Ghana. There are also several courses specifically designed to introduce participants to the country and culture - Introduction to Fante Twi Language (a major local tribal language), and Society, Government and Politics in Ghana and Africa.

Tuition and fees, admission fee for affiliate university, USAC pre-arranged housing options & residence hall housing fees for a shared room (summer session only), personalized pre-departure advising, immigration visa assistance, parental support & assistance, financial aid & scholarship assistance, transcript assistance, student health insurance, airport pick-up, orientation, Accra tour & Cape Coast field trip (semester & year only), and the following for the summer session only: host university student ID card, 24-hour local staff support, field trips, local travel resources (cost not included), and volunteer opportunities.
