The first volunteer activity that I coordinated for the spring 2013 semester was the Point-In-Time Homeless Count which took place in the last week of January. It was a great experience. This was the fifth homeless count conducted in Maricopa County coordinated by the Maricopa Association of Governments in which 100's of volunteers participated during a four hour frame to find and interview as many homeless persons within our region. In order for Arizona to be able to provide more resources…

Updates from our last meeting with guest presenter Christopher Deutsch demonstrating ONcam and its uses.
We would like to thank Christopher Deutsch, the cofounder of ONcam (www.oncam.com), for joining us at our Executive Team meeting last week to present this online communication tool. ONcam is an Interactive Video Broadcast System. It is more than Skype. It is a group conversation that can be broadcasted to a much larger audience and a way that thousands of people can take part in the same discussion. It enables community in ways that Google Hangout cannot. It is technology meant to generate…
World Academy for the Future of Women Facilitator Training
Last weekend few members of the executive team attended facilitator training for the World Academy for the Future of Women (WAFW).
The World Academy for the Future of Women is a bold and rigorous leadership training program for women committed to acquiring the skills and confidence needed to develop as campus, community, national, or global leaders.
The program has been in place for the past three years at SIAS University in China. The purpose of the Academy is to promote and accelerate the advancement of women worldwide.
The WAFW is currently recruiting facilitator for future projects in China and Cambodia. Facilitators are all leaders in the community; they each possess different set of skills in business, art, and coaching. They are responsible for delivering the curriculum of the academy.
People interested in knowing more about the World Academy can contact Global Interactions
at 602.943-3922 or e-mail academy@globalinteractions.org to get involved.

Our goal is to "clean up" certain areas so that the website may be condensed and old or outdated information may be less prevelant. We also aim to condense or combine certain areas so that viewers may be able to navigate the site easier and therefore, this will hopefully increase…
