With 20 years of building relationships between sectors, Peter draws on this experience to analyze, design, and implement creative ways of improving how we access and utilize knowledge from many sources.

He is a social entrepreneur and strategic advisor. He is also a researcher on leadership for evidence-based practice at the Institute of Population Health at the University of Ottawa and a member of several research teams in Canada and internationally.  He is a sought after public speaker and advisor on issues related to collaboration, partnership, value production, knowledge mobilization, and public policy.

Peter is the former Deputy-Director of Knowledge Products and Mobilization for the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada.  He also held the position of Knowledge Exchange Specialist for the Provincial Centre of Excellence for Child and Youth Mental Health.  For three years, he was the founding Chair of the Knowledge Mobilization committee for the Ontario Neurotrauma Foundation.

His mission is to enhance and promote the world's knowledge infrastructure by creating productive links between people, places, ideas, and goals. His focus is on capacity building in knowledge utilization, inter-sector connectedness, and developing international opportunities for the development and application of knowledge.  He continually seeks out innovative communication methods and technologies to reduce the costs of moving evidence into practice.

His foremost personal interests are found in his family and his community.  A long-term volunteer he organizes events in Ottawa, Canada, and internationally.  He loves to travel to new cities, to walk while taking pictures, and riding his motorcycles on country roads.
