Goals for 2010

Conduct a successful fundraising campaign.
Develop new knowledge partnerships with universities, global networks, and international community organizations.
Expand individual and organizational membership by following-up contacts from the World Civic Forum (Seoul, May 2009), World Conference on Higher Education (Paris, July 2009), Education Leaders Forum (Paris, July 2009) , Global Forum on ICT and Innovation for Education (Monterrey, September 2009) and the Community-University Partnership for Sustainability Conference (Penang, November 2009).
Facilitate active involvement of UCP-SARnet members in the further development of our network by expanding our library of resources and generating publicity for our network's mission.
Form new teams of Regional Coordinators, especially in Asia and Europe.
Continue the organization of virtual conferences Bridging the World, similar to the one held in China in May 2009.
Feature conferences related to local and global community issues, publish conference presentations and provide forums for follow-up discussions and collaboration.
Offer professional development (continuing education) training for community leaders and members of local governments involved in the MDGs.
Create new community-related online courses and workshops and organize access to already existing projects.
Facilitate students' projects, especially those that focus on the impact of cultural context on the realization of MDGs.
Inspire involvement in the community by providing examples of exceptional individual and organizational commitments.
Develop partnerships with universities in China, India, Malaysia, Russia and Thailand.
Organize a conference for our Regional Coordinators about Multicultural Perspectives on Community Leadership in May 2010.
Support the vision of the community based college for social workers in India (Dream Rainbow City) and the development of Community Communication Centers in India by organizing a campaign of donating used laptops.
Participate in the organization of the CU-Expo Conference 2011.
